This is the formal permission from your local authority for something new, an extension or alteration of a building or change of use of your building.
Before starting your project you must find out if you require planning permission or building regulations approval – or both. They are separate applications and I can assist and apply for both on your behalf.
Permitted Development Rights
Not all projects need Planning Permission, some qualify under permitted development rights. The Government has extended what is permissible under permitted development to speed up the planning process.
Some small extensions, demolition and conversions of loft and garages etc fall under permitted development. It’s worth checking with your local authority to see what is acceptable and the Government Planning Portal for restrictions.
